PARIS FASHION WEEK: Saint Laurent covers Paris in gold

For spring-summer 2027, Anthony Vaccarello has created a Saint Laurent that is luminous, sensual and profoundly Parisian.

At the Trocadéro, facing the Eiffel Tower, the designer revisits the essence of the house through a wardrobe where tailoring meets evening glamour. The silhouette is long, slender, sometimes austere, always sensual.

Safari jackets, strong shoulders, metallic trench coats, high-waisted shorts, pencil skirts, and flowing dresses define the Saint Laurent : chic, free, and irresistibly seductive. Gold dominates, appearing in crinkled, shimmering, or precious fabrics, like a light that accompanies her every move.

Vaccarello also made a radical choice: no bags on the catwalk. The silhouette needed nothing else. The garment, the body, and the attitude became the only accessories.

On the feet, Luigi Spanò 's creations extend this idea of excess. Vertiginous stilettos and sculptural heels, sometimes evoking the serpent, give the silhouettes an almost unreal allure.

Then the gold disappears.

The final part of the show takes on a black hue, with sheer fabrics, draping, and long evening gowns. After the brilliance comes the shadow. After the celebration, something resembling a farewell.

This show comes at the end of Anthony Vaccarello 's ten years at Saint Laurent , amidst rumors of the designer's possible departure circulating within the house. Nothing is officially confirmed, but the staging inevitably lends this finale a particular resonance.

Charlotte Gainsbourg closes the show with music before Vaccarello takes his bow.

Ten years of Saint Laurent. A final golden light. Then darkness.

An era may be coming to an end.
