For Haute Couture Autumn-Winter 2026-2027, AZZOPARDI presents Salomé, a collection that reinterprets one of the most fascinating female figures in history through the prism of artisanal know-how, Mediterranean heritage and contemporary couture.

Artistic director Luke Azzopardi envisions Salome as a cultural icon whose aura has transcended centuries, inspiring literature, painting, opera, film, and fashion. Rather than revisiting her story, the designer offers a resolutely contemporary interpretation, where each silhouette translates this cultural richness into the language of haute couture.

At the heart of the collection lies the veil, the true guiding thread of this season. Deconstructed, layered, and then reinvented through meticulous textile work, it gives rise to sculptural silhouettes that constantly play between structure and lightness. By juxtaposing the myth of the Seven Veils with the għonnella, a traditional Maltese sail, AZZOPARDI forges a unique link between Mediterranean heritage and contemporary design.
