Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award 2025: Transmission, Heritage and Creation in Paris
Paris, with its unique creative energy, hosted a new stage of the Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award in 2025—an international competition that aptly illustrated what fashion can be when it reconciles heritage and contemporary audacity. Organized by the House of Pierre Cardin, this initiative highlighted a new generation of talent while extending the couturier's avant-garde vision.
Conceived as a space for transmission as much as for creation, the Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award has, once again this year, been part of a dynamic resolutely turned towards the future, without ever denying its roots.
A competition rooted in transmission
Since its launch, the Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award has established itself as a key event for fashion design students worldwide. Previous editions, held in countries including the United States, Mexico, Brazil, South Korea, China, and Taiwan, had already revealed unique profiles capable of engaging with the House's futuristic aesthetic while asserting a personal style.

The 2025 European edition continued in this vein. More than a competition, it offered a true educational immersion, inviting participants to understand, interpret and reinvent the Pierre Cardin codes: architectural volumes, graphic lines, vision of the future and creative freedom.
Paris, a creative hub and laboratory of ideas
It was in Paris that this European edition came to life. For several days, the capital was transformed into a laboratory of ideas, welcoming sixty students from all over Europe for a series of workshops and masterclasses in the heart of emblematic locations of the House.
Guided by the Pierre Cardin creative teams, participants worked on key themes such as sustainability, textile innovation, and eco-design, while exploring the couturier's formal heritage. Paris then revealed itself as what it has always remained: a territory of experimentation, where tradition and modernity coexist seamlessly.

A final between recognition and passing of the torch
Following this Parisian phase, ten semi-finalists were selected to participate in the international final held in Athens. Three winners were ultimately chosen by a jury composed of long-standing members of the Pierre Cardin fashion house.

Rewarded with a three-month immersion in the Parisian design studio, the winners had the opportunity to see their designs take shape, from cutting and assembly to garment making. A rare experience, both educational and symbolic, conceived as a true passing of the torch between generations.
Heritage as an engine of the future
Through this 2025 edition, the Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award has reaffirmed a conviction dear to the House: heritage is never static. It is passed on, transformed and reinvented through contact with new perspectives.
By giving a voice to young creators from diverse cultural and aesthetic backgrounds, the competition celebrated conscious, experimental and committed fashion, faithful to the pioneering spirit of Pierre Cardin.
